“SCEIP has received over $40 million in loan requests through AB811 since last April”, says Tom LeDuc. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has just established incentives for installation of solar water heating systems, creating rebates up to $1500. The rebates combined with the 30% federal tax credits should create more public awareness in that area. “ LeDuc & Dexter and its service company, Super Service Plumbing, are now GE Hybrid Heat Pump dealers and they have begun to sell and install them in homes in Sonoma County.

LeDuc & Dexter have completed five residential energy saving retrofit projects with their certified performance contractor partner, Pinnacle Homes. LeDuc & Dexter installed a Phoenix Solar Water Heater system in the latest home they recently completed with Pinnacle Homes, which is similar to a previous home featured a few months ago.  It includes solar collectors on the roof, a Phoenix water heater for hot water and space heating with a fan coil unit, plus a Metland push button demand pump system for instant hot water.

“We are trailblazing here in Sonoma County with our green building community”, says LeDuc, “It’s been exciting for us and for our clients and it’s really just in it’s infant stage.”
