LeDuc & Dexter, Inc., which was the first plumbing contractor north of the Golden Gate Bridge to become a licensed Green Plumber has positioning itself to address the water conservation programs that could soon be implemented in the City of Santa Rosa and Sonoma County. |

|
“These water conservation programs fall right in line with green plumbing and the training our company has received to become certified in those areas”, says Tom LeDuc, President & CEO of LeDuc & Dexter.
Tom LeDuc has undergone extensive training to receive 9 Green Plumber certifications. Art Dexter, Vice President & COO, has five certifications and a number of managers and employees including Super Service Plumbing, LeDuc & Dexter’s service company, have also received certifications for Green Plumbing. |

LeDuc & Dexter’s commercial department supply and install tankless water heaters for commercial applications and Super Service Plumbing handles the residential applications. Under the stimulus plan, otherwise known as The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, homeowners will be eligible for a tax credit equal to 30% of the full purchase and installation price of a qualifying tankless water heater up to a maximum savings of $1500. |

The Sonoma County Water Agency is committing $72 million and the Sonoma County Treasury can pledge $45 million under state law AB 811, which permits the creation of energy programs that issue loan notes. If the county supervisors approve funding for this Energy Independence Program it could start as early as March 24. |

Sonoma County is also considering heating and air conditioning technology that would replace old residential units with heat pumps and air handlers and replace commercial units with more efficient zone controls. This is another area of expertise for LeDuc & Dexter; Sonoma County’s first licensed Green Plumber. |
